I've been competing in rallying since 1994, however, my interest in motorsport spans much further back. My earliest memory was watching Jimmy McRae racing at Ingliston in a Vauxhall Chevette HSR. I guess this was the early 80's? My first rally memory was watching the 1983 Scottish Rally pass through Bellahouston Park in Glasgow, and if my memory serves me correctly, Stig Blomquist won in the Audi Quattro and Jimmy McRae finished 2nd in the Opel Manta 400. Watching this battle ensured I was bitten by the rally bug once and for all!

Shortly after starting rallying in 1994, I formed GMC Motorsport and the team continues to compete successfully in events throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland.

My main role in the team is driver but my post-event responsibility is to maintain and prepare the car on an event to event basis to the high standards expected by GMC Motorsport.

Rallying is of course a part-time pursuit. Day to day I work as an Electrical Contracts Manager .
